Technology transfer (TT) is the process of transferring skills, knowledge, technologies, methods of manufacturing, samples of manufacturing and facilities among institutions to ensure that scientific and technological developments are accessible to a wider range of users who can then further develop and exploit the technology into new products, processes, applications, materials or services. The final Objective is to move promising research topics into a level of maturity ready for bulk manufacturing or production.
Technology watch is a main pillar of TT giving input on what is happening in the global environment concerning the project that can hamper or bust its potential for exploitation. So Technology watch is an going process through the project lifecycle and in indication of what is being watched can be seen in the figure.
