Project partner POLITO hosted 7th FIBRALSPEC Project Meeting in Turin, Italy from 24-25 January 2017.
FIBRALSPEC project partners had an oral presentations at EMRS 2016 IN WARSAW, POLAND 19-22 September 2016.
The workshop ‘FROM MATERIALS TO ELECTRO-OPTICAL DEVICES’ was held in Athens, Greece, on the 17th of February 2015 and was co-organized by FIBRALSPEC at the School of Chemical Engineering in National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). The event was a joint effort between Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Polymer Research and NTUA, in which participated 10 high-level speakers presenting materials with advanced electrical properties, new production technologies and applications. There was a separate part dedicated to the properties of carbon fibres. FIBRALSPEC participation in the workshop successfully indicated the need for improvement of materials, pointing out the impact of carbon fibers in all innovative aspects of materials and industrial new perspectives. National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) had the chance to disseminate FIBRALSPEC Project’s message by attracting the interest of scientists from multidisciplinary fields, representatives from academia, research organizations and general public. FIBRALSPEC Participants During the Workshop, FIBRALSPEC was represented by the following members of NTUA group: A. Charitidis, Professor and Coordinator Koumoulos Koklioti Anagnou POLITO group: Alberto Tagliaferro, Professor, Politecnico di Torino, Italy THALES group: Paolo Bondavalli, Head of Nanomaterials Group, THALES Research and Technology, France All participants had fruitful discussions with other participants of the workshop, had the change to exchange ideas and learn further potential technological applications of carbon fibers. They had the chance to visit our facilities and they identified the wide need for innovative materials in many applications. Photos from Workshop
